Why is it advantageous to you to know the 12 Cameraman's Disciplines? Describe which three you think are most important and why.

It's important to know the 12 principles because it helps a cameraman get ready for what is essential to complete his job the right way. The principles are a guide that if followed correctly can be very helpful. The most important 3 are Control as much as possible which really helps getting all the right shots and the things you need. Check all equipment is the second most important because to get the best shot you need all the right equipment such as a white paper, tripod, ac adapter just in case the battery runs low. Set and understand expectations is another very important discipline because as a cameraman you want to get all the shots that are necessary for the product bestowed to you by your clients.

Media Tech: Week 2

I learned how to set the settings on the camera. How to change from HDVS to DVS. Which is High definition to standard definition. Clif Cotton was very helpful, I really understood the way he spoke to us and the way he made his career sound really interested me. I learned that this is a trade and everything is measured by skills. I want to go far with this class and to do my best. Better said, I want to do better than my best. I want more than what I expect.
